When the first day of the World Series of Poker’s final table ended, Joe McKeehen ’13 was exactly where he was when it began: leading in chips.

Last night’s action, which began with nine players, saw three players knocked out. As the WSOP resumes this evening (Nov. 9), McKeehen holds more than 91 million chips, nearly half of the total chips at the six-player table.

If he wins it all, he’ll take home the first-place prize of more than $7.6 million. The remaining five players in the top will earn between $1.4 and $4.4 million.
