For their contributions to the Foundation for Physical Therapy’s VCU-Marquette Challenge, Arcadia’s Department of Physical Therapy was recognized at the Foundation Awards Luncheon on June 22 in Boston, Mass. Arcadia was one of 15 institutions to receive an honorable mention for donating more than $3,000 to the Challenge this year, and one of eight universities recognized as the Marquette Challenge Philanthropy Circle’s Cornerstone Society for raising more than $50,000 over the past 10 years.

Co-hosted by Marquette University, the event celebrated individuals and institutions that have advanced physical therapy research through fundraising initiatives and dedicated service. The Challenge, an annual fundraising effort coordinated by physical therapy students across the country, supports new investigators in the field.

Since 2002, the Challenge has funded more than 23 research grants, as well as the rigorous peer-review process of Foundation scholarships.
