Dr. Mesner to Explore Intersections of Queer Identities through Theater
Dr. Kerr Mesner, assistant professor in the School of Education, will debut his second one-person play, In Transit: Artistic Interventions in Precarious Times, at Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts in Ontario, Canada on March 15.
In Transit explores the intersections of queer identities, Christianity’s contributions to anti-queer violence, and the challenges of embodying transgender identities within current political contexts. Dr. Mesner’s play combines multimedia, live theatrical performance, and audience engagement to create a thought-provoking, dramatic experience.
The event is free and open to the public.
