For Seventh Straight Year, Arcadia Ranks Best Regionally with Princeton Review
For the seventh straight year, Arcadia University was ranked among the Princeton Review’s “Best Northeastern” schools in its “2022 Best Colleges: Region by Region.” The prestigious list ranks Arcadia among the 655 colleges and universities in the country that are “academically outstanding and well worth consideration.”
Universities and colleges are evaluated on academics, admissions selectivity, financial aid, safety, quality of life, environmental efforts, and the accessibility of professors. The Review considers data from its survey of administrators at several hundred colleges in each region, information from staff visits to schools over the years, and the opinions of college counselors and advisors whose perspectives the company solicits. Students also are surveyed about their campus experiences and asked to rate their school on dozens of issues.
“Placement on the Princeton Review’s Best Colleges list for seven straight years is an affirmation of what Arcadia University does best, and it also gives us the opportunity to reflect on how we can strengthen the student living and learning experience,” said Dr. Jeff Rutenbeck, provost and senior vice president for Academic Affairs at Arcadia University. “We are especially proud of our placement in the Princeton Review, as the perspectives and opinions of counselors and students are important factors in the evaluation process.”
Arcadia students were quoted as saying:
- “Lots of colleges claim to give their students a ‘global perspective,’ but Arcadia really delivers.”
- “Arcadia has a phenomenal study abroad program with “many pathways” for international study and travel.”
- “Opportunities are available to go beyond the typical classroom experience by working on individual projects or helping professors with research.”
- “What really brings people here is the study abroad program. What keeps them here are the people.”
The Princeton Review’s “Best Northeastern” consists of schools in Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and the District of Columbia.
