Biomedical Reference Collection  Contains over 4,000 full-text journals covering a variety of disciplines ranging from biomedicine and health sciences to the health care system and pre-clinical sciences.

PubMed  The public interface for the National Library of Medicine’s MEDLINE database, a database of millions of abstracts and links to full-text articles in the health sciences. PubMed is considered the go-to resource for the biosciences. Searching can be done with either free text or the controlled vocabulary of Medical Subject Headings (MeSH).  (Since not all of the articles in PubMed are available through Arcadia’s holdings, be sure to look at our Can’t Find Full-text? guide to help find what you need.)

Cochrane Library An extensive database of systematic reviews and clinical trials

Academic Search Ultimate*  A large, academically multidisciplinary article database that is a very good place to start a scholarly literature search.

AccessMedicine*  Medical and other textbooks, including The Big Picture: Gross Anatomy*, Harper’s Illustrated Biochemistry*, and Histology and Cell Biology*.

Subject guide for Human Anatomy (Students enrolled in Anatomy classes will have access to Complete Anatomy.)
