Make mistakes, please. This invitation from the world of improvisation turns a fixed mindset on its head. We want to embrace on-going learning and dynamic feedback loops to continue improving teaching, learning, and mentoring on campus.
This work requires vulnerability and discomfort, but also creates contexts for deep, meaningful learning and connection. At the CTLM, we are dedicated to creating spaces that welcome free & unfettered exploration AND structures that allow for consistent, timely, & meaningful feedback. We try to apply this mindset to both classroom spaces—through programs like Mid-Semester Feedback and Student Pedagogical Consultants—and CTLM spaces wherein we invite students, faculty, & staff to work as equal collaborators & co-constructors.
