Experience an Effortless Transition to Arcadia University
Transferring to Arcadia University couldn’t be simpler. Our core-to-core agreements ensure both a smooth transition process and a transparent one that is focused on honing in on your aspirations as a student. By satisfying all the requirements of your current program, you can complete your degree with the added benefits of an Arcadia University education.
Core-to-Core Agreements
Arcadia agrees to accept the general education credits embedded in our partner school’s approved Associate degrees as meeting all of our undergraduate general education requirements, except for the Global Connections Experience and Reflections requirements as well as the senior capstone requirement, which must be completed at Arcadia. This Core-to-Core arrangement applies to all graduates of approved degrees at the partner institution and is not limited to students who participate in Dual Admissions under our Agreements (see below).
Arcadia currently has core-to-core agreements with the following schools:
Dual Admissions Agreement
Under the above Agreements, partner school students will be guaranteed admission to Arcadia with third year (junior) status on the condition that they:
- Complete a “Dual Admissions Intent” form at the time of admission to the partner institution, or no later than when they have completed 45 transferable credits.
- Graduate from the partner institution with an approved Associate degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 (please see your partner school’s website for a list of approved degree paths)
- Enroll at Arcadia within one year of graduation from the partner school
- Do not attend another institution of higher education between the time they graduate from the partner school and enroll at Arcadia.
- Complete Arcadia’s admissions application the semester before they plan to matriculate to Arcadia and satisfy all other regular Arcadia admissions requirements.
A full-time student admitted with third year (junior) status to Arcadia will be able to complete a bachelor’s degree at Arcadia within four regular semesters provided that the student completes the appropriate Associate Degree program at the partner school and completes and appropriately sequences his/her remaining coursework at Arcadia. Third year status is defined at Arcadia as having greater than 57 transferred credits. Partner school students may transfer up to 75 credits towards a degree program at Arcadia.
In order to complete a bachelor’s degree at Arcadia, students must complete 120 credits minimum and at least 50% of coursework towards the major. Students who have previously matriculated to Arcadia are not eligible for dual admissions to Arcadia under these partner Agreements but are encouraged to apply for readmission to Arcadia.
There is no obligation on the part of a dual admissions student if the student decides not to transfer to Arcadia. Once a student has completed the Dual Admissions Intent form, they are strongly encouraged to meet with an Arcadia admissions representative and/or a partner school academic advisor, counselor or program advisor to develop a course taking strategy to maximize course transferability.
