A Look Into the Career of Fashion Designer Emil de John

Often regarded as the kindest man in fashion, Emil de John will be coming to give a presentation about his life, work experiences, and how to work in the fashion industry. Emil grew up in South Philly and has served as a faculty member at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. He has noted, “Even if I made a cheesesteak hoagie, I made it look like a work of art.” Over his 50+ year career, Emil has worked with everyone from Betsy Johnson to Oscar de la Renta and Anna Wintour.
