Chris Mullin has been teaching in the Department of Media and Communication since 2000. She completed her undergraduate work in Communication at LaSalle University and her graduate work in Education (with a concentration in English and Communication) at Arcadia University. She worked for a number of years in a variety of fields within the Communication industry before devoting the majority of her time to teaching. She served as a producer at a Philadelphia radio station, a coordinator in a Philadelphia based advertising agency and a coordinator at a broadcast and video production company specializing in mobile media. She teaches a variety of courses within the department and has developed courses in the University Freshman Seminar program and University Seminar program. In addition to teaching, Chris also serves as the faculty advisor for Arcadia's chapter of PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America), the faculty advisor for Arcadia's student-run public relations agency, 1853 Communications, and Arcadia's FAR (Faculty Athletic Representative). Chris received a Doctorate of Educational Leadership at Arcadia University in May 2020. Her dissertation examined the effect of participation in student-run media on female graduates career and life after college.
