- Liz Filios is a Philadelphia-based actor, composer and teaching artist. She has taught Music, Voice, Movement and Acting at the Arden Theatre, Wilma Theater, Lantern Theater, Theatre Horizon, Delaware Theatre Company, Theatre Exile, Folger Shakespeare Theatre and People’s Light. Liz is a founding member of the Pennsylvania Theatre Institute, the Embodied Voice Collective and the Bearded Ladies Cabaret. A graduate of the Musical Theatre program at the University of Michigan, Liz trained with Canada’s National Voice Intensive, the Wilma Theater HotHouse, International Opera Theatre, Cape Town Opera and the Çudamani Summer Institute. She has guest taught at the Pig Iron School, University of the Arts, Drexel University, Temple University, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, George Washington College, Abington Friends School, The Waldron Academy and Play On Philly. Liz is a Barrymore Award winner, Independence Foundation Fellow and a recipient of the F. Otto Haas Award.
