Lucy Glasson began working at Arcadia University as Associate General Counsel in April 2022.
Ms. Glasson began her career with a one-year judicial clerkship in Portland, Maine with the Honorable Kermit V. Lipez on the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. She then worked as an associate in the litigation department at Foley Hoag LLP in Boston for five years, focusing on white collar criminal investigations, intellectual property matters, and complex civil litigation. After relocating to Philadelphia in 2006, Ms. Glasson worked as an associate in the litigation department at Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP before joining the United States Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights (OCR) in 2008. During her 13 years at OCR, Ms. Glasson investigated and resolved hundreds of complaints alleging discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, and age. In April 2022, Ms. Glasson left OCR to join the Office of General Counsel.
Ms. Glasson has volunteered as a trained Sexual Assault Crisis Counselor and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Helen Kate Furness Library in Wallingford, Pennsylvania. She has also served actively in her college and law school alumni associations.
Ms. Glasson received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Bates College, summa cum laude, and a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School.
