Maya is a Licensed Professional Counselor providing services in Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs. Maya joined the Arcadia University family in January of 2022, with the mission to develop resources within the counseling services center to enhance the experiences of all students. Maya has worked with adolescents and young adults in residential therapeutic settings as well as private practice and has worked with clients on a large range of presenting issues, including but not limited to: substance use disorders, racial trauma, anxiety disorders, major depressive disorders, mood disorders, grief and loss, trauma, sexual and domestic violence, relational issues, and community violence. Maya’s practice emphasizes strengths-based and person-centered approaches, prioritizing the resilience of each client. Maya is passionate about working to remedy health disparities by ensuring that all people, including people of color, have access to clinical interventions and mental health resources that help them achieve their highest potential.
