Why Become a Community-Based Work-Study Student?
At Arcadia, we believe in providing students with valuable opportunities for professional development outside the classroom. By becoming a Community-Based Work-Study student, you can:
- Make a Meaningful Impact in our Local Community: Contribute to organizations that are essential to our community while earning income. Placement opportunities are across diverse sites such as Glenside Elementary School, Cheltenham Center for the Arts, Jenkintown Food Cupboard, Urban Youth Kings & Queens, and more.
- Gain Hands-On, Resume-Ready Experiences: Build your resume with hands-on, off-campus experience that compliments your academic learning. Receive training, supervision, and evaluation to enhance your skills and prepare for future careers.
- Receive a Pay Check: The pay rate for community-based work-study starts at $12 per hour. Work-study eligibility is preferred.
