Student Health Services Requirements Based on Program
All Arcadia University Student Health Services requirements will be listed in the Patient Portal, which is typically available in March for incoming students. Review the information below for your program’s specific health forms and requirements.
University Compliance
- Every full-time student at Arcadia University is required to submit personal health information to be in compliance with University Policy.
- All full-time students must have health insurance. Students must waive out or enroll in the University’s Student Health Insurance.

Additionally, the Physical Therapy program requires that you upload your health information to Exxat, an online compliance company. You will receive instructions via email from the Physical Therapy Department.
Physician Assistant Students
Students must submit immunization records, physical examination records, and other required documentation to the Student Health Services Patient Portal. These requirements are in addition to PA Program Clearance Requirements. Both sets of requirements must be met as specified.
- All Arcadia University Student Health Services requirements will be listed in the Patient Portal
- The Patient Portal is typically available in March for incoming students
- Arcadia University Student Health Services personnel may access student health records in the Patient Portal. PA Program and clinical site personnel may not access student records in the Patient Portal.
- Students who are not in compliance with Arcadia University immunization policy will be placed on a Health Hold and can not be registered for classes (both Glenside and Christiana campus students)
SHS Physical Examination Form
- Upload both pages of the current Physical Examination form to the Student Health Services Patient Portal
- Students must have a physical examination in April
- DO NOT upload the SHS Physical Examination Form to Exxat (this information is for students and their health care providers only)
PA Immunization Record Form
- Upload both pages of the current PA Immunization Record form to the Student Health Services Patient Portal
- Dual degree students who already uploaded this form for their first year with Public Health do not need to upload it again
- DO upload the PA Immunization Record Form to Exxat
Health Insurance
- Waive or Enroll in Arcadia Insurance Coverage
- Upload documentation of health insurance card, front and back, to the Patient Portal
- Enter health insurance details in the Patient Portal

- It is an Arcadia University policy that all students are insured. All students must be covered by health insurance while enrolled at Arcadia
- Arcadia University has partnered with a 3rd party company regarding insurance services (United HealthCare Student resources)
- Details on health insurance will be provided to enrolling PA students in spring
- The insurance website is typically available to enrolling students in April
- Students must opt in or opt out of University-provided health insurance
Additional PA Student Requirements
In addition to these requirements, PA students must also complete PA Program Clearance Requirements.
Both sets of requirements must be completed by all PA students.

Additionally, if you are in the MPH/PA or MPH/PT dual degree program, you are required to upload your health information to Certified Background, an online compliance company responsible for verifying compliance to the clinical sites. You will receive instructions via email from your program director.
