Arcadia offers a beautiful campus with housing that includes fully equipped kitchens. Students can also choose to live off-campus in nearby cities or areas that suit their budgets and needs.
Students have the flexibility to choose accommodations that best fit their needs during their extended weekend stays (Friday - Sunday), including nearby hotels, shared housing, or short-term rentals like Airbnb.
Arcadia’s proximity to major business hubs like Philadelphia, New York City, and Washington, DC, provides access to diverse career opportunities, internships, and networking events. This strategic location is a key advantage for international students seeking to maximize their U.S. career potential.
The required internship will help you gain valuable experience of working in the U.S. The internship is authorized by CPT and enables part time work directly related to your degree without impacting your academic focus, visa benefits or OPT eligibility.
The STEM designation extends Optional Practical Training (OPT) by two years, giving you up to three years to work in the U.S. after graduation. This provides valuable time to build your career and professional networks, in addition to more potential attempts in the H1-B lottery.
Arcadia’s history dates back to 1853, and it has served as a trailblazing institution since its inception, when it afforded higher education opportunities for women at a time when such opportunities were rare. Arcadia facilitates a welcoming, supportive campus environment, and it is recognized as a national leader in study abroad and global education (#1 in the nation, ranked by the Institute of International Education). Arcadia's diverse community of scholars is composed of people from all around the world, and the University has a global presence in more than a dozen countries worldwide.
