Simulations
During courses such as Principles of Marketing, Principles of Management, and senior-level Business Policy, you will compete against classmates to run your own simulated companies. These simulations actively involve decision-making processes that managers go through daily, as well as those that require the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of long-term strategies.
Case Studies and Experiential Exercises
Case studies and experiential exercises are used in many classes to engage you in active problem-solving situations in business environments across industries, firms, and individuals.
Internships
You will have a number of internship opportunities, including an internship abroad, to apply knowledge and learn from the experience itself. Your internship requirements remain flexible and depend upon your education and career goals.
Presentations
Business Administration values the ability to present your work in a professional setting. Most courses require written, oral, and visual presentations to master these skills. Recognizing that organizational decisions are not always based on individual analyses, many of these activities will have you work collaboratively on group projects.
Study Abroad
The School of Global Business encourages you to spend a semester or even a year studying abroad. In most cases, it is even possible to do the internship abroad. Find the abroad experience that works best for you, from semesters, as well as one-week, two-week, short-term, and summer study abroad opportunities.
Senior Capstone Experience
All majors at Arcadia University complete a senior Capstone project that involves integrating prior knowledge, preparing written reports, and making a public presentation. For Business Administration majors, this Capstone requirement is satisfied by successful completion of BA 470 or BA 471 Internship and BA 495 Policy Formulation and Administration, both required courses.
