Arcadia Hybrid Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Curriculum
Designed and led by the same world-renowned faculty who teach on campus, the Arcadia Hybrid DPT program combines interactive online classes and hands-on experience to create an innovative, hybrid curriculum.
The Arcadia hybrid DPT curriculum integrates three distinct elements to prepare students for careers as research-driven, clinical experts who effectively and compassionately care for patients. It shares the same course content, objectives, and learning outcomes as our on-campus program.
Coursework
Organized into 20 patient-based modules, the Arcadia Hybrid DPT curriculum covers movement systems, diagnosis, and treatment. Each course integrates knowledge from every practice area of physical therapy, and the courses build in complexity and depth as the curriculum progresses. Hybrid DPT students take live online classes and complete self-guided coursework to complement instruction.
Courses include:
- Exposure to Physical Therapy in a Health Care System
- Differential Diagnosis and Intervention
- Integrated Patient Management
- Management and Leadership Principles in a PT Setting
Clinical Experience
In our hybrid DPT program, students gain valuable real-world experience through supervised, hands-on clinical training. Over the course of 32 weeks, students will put their classroom learning into practice and work in a variety of physical therapy settings.
Immersions
Arcadia DPT Online students will attend eight on-campus immersions throughout the program. These provide opportunities to work alongside professors and peers as you practice hands-on skills, use physical therapy equipment, and strengthen the interpersonal skills that will help you succeed as a physical therapist.
