Guinn Discusses Incorporating Community into Street Art

On May 1, David Guinn, adjunct professor of Visual Art and world-renowned muralist, was featured in a Commercial Appeal article for his culturally sensitive approach to street art.
Guinn stressed the importance of giving community members a voice when executing public art pieces— an approach he’s demonstrated to Arcadia’s Entrepreneurship/Gallery Apprenticeship students, who incorporated feedback from local residents in the Glenside underpass mural designs.
