University Advancement Earns Gold for Jones Poundstone Society
Arcadia University is proud to announce that its Division of University Advancement earned prestigious recognition from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), winning gold and bronze District II Accolade Awards relating to the Jones Poundstone Society (JPS).
The JPS recognizes donors who make an unrestricted annual leadership gift of at least $1,000 to The Fund for Arcadia and create a lasting impact for Arcadia students and the University. University Advancement earned gold for its “cost-conscious rebranding” of its giving societies in 2019, noted judges for the Fundraising-Annual Giving category. In the Fundraising on a Shoestring category, JPS earned bronze for work that was “done beautifully and with careful consideration of the institution’s history, and intentional appeal to one of the more removed demographics of alumnae.”
These are the first two CASE awards that University Advancement has received in its history.
“The recognition is a real uplift to our hard work,” said Brigette A. Bryant, vice president for Development and Alumni Engagement. “I never imagined when JPS was created that it would garner these accolades, but I am encouraged that it did. We can’t celebrate this success without acknowledging the 144 inaugural Jones Poundstone Society donors who joined us in our efforts to make Arcadia a better, stronger university.”
University Advancement noted that the new framework cultivated a nearly 40 percent increase in the number of leadership unrestricted annual giving donors and an almost 28 percent increase in unrestricted dollars.
“This was a shining example of the importance of a strong partnership between the President’s Office and the Development Office,” judges noted of the rebranding for JPS. “We were impressed by the yield of financial results and increased society members, and we appreciated that this society led to the creation of a true major gifts pipeline.”
CASE is a global nonprofit association dedicated to educational advancement—alumni relations, communications, development, marketing, and advancement services—who share the goal of championing education to transform lives and society.
