Majors and minors: Dual Bachelor of Arts in English and Media and Communications, with a concentrations in creative writing and multimedia publishing.

Favorite Arcadia memory: That is a very hard question because there are so many. If I only had to pick one it would probably have to be all the times my friends and I played Midnight Bingo. Just the chaos of it all and how cool it was for almost half the school to be sitting in the great room having a fun time together, I’ll really miss that. Just the togetherness of it all is something that I’ll miss in general about Arcadia. 

Involvement on campus: I was involved in several organizations on campus! I was an orientation leader for three years, a senator, and Vice President of the Student Government Organization. I also was involved in the Honors Program and Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society. In terms of work experience, I did almost everything. I was an ambassador, a career peer advisor, a student work in the athletic department, and a Because Arcadia blogger. 

Advice for your first-year self: You can do anything you set your mind to. You are so intelligent and you’ll be able to get through what life will throw at you—this is your home now, make the most of it 

After Arcadia: Arcadia prepared me for my next steps in life by giving me the resources I needed to succeed, and if they didn’t have the tools themselves, they would simply point me in the direction where those tools were provided. I was thankfully accepted as a fellow in the Public Relations & Marketing Masterclass with Cashman and Associates and the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists. This was thanks to the information provided by the Media and Communications Department and encouragement from [Associate Professor of Media and Communication] Dr. Michael Dwyer to submit my application. It was a very informative and fun experience, it really helped solidify what I wanted to do after college. 

My next steps are to try and become an investigative journalist and I believe the skills I gained as a writer and inquisitive human being at Arcadia will allow me to obtain that dream.
