Olivia Jarvis: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
Major and minor: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Neuroscience minor
Favorite Arcadia memory: Sitting out on the Haber Green with friends when the weather was beautiful!
Involvement on campus: I was a lab assistant in the Psychology department, Learning Resource Network (LRN) advanced tutor and psychology liaison, Vice President and co-founder of the Psychology Club, member of Arcadia’s Women’s Golf team, and secretary of Residence Hall Council (RHC).
Advice to your first-year self: Go out and do the things you love on campus! Graduation comes faster than you think.
After Arcadia: I had the opportunity to develop and conduct an independent research project for my senior thesis, which is a unique opportunity given to me through Arcadia. It helped me to grow into a better student and researcher and I feel confident moving into the next chapter of my career. The curriculum at Arcadia is really inclusive and prepares students for their future career! I plan to work as a research assistant for the next two years and then pursue a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology with a Neuroscience concentration.
