Actuarial Science students from Arcadia University and West Chester University had the opportunity to network with prospective employers at the third annual Actuarial Career Interview Day on Sept. 20, an event coordinated by the Computer Science and Mathematics Department and the Office of Career Education.

Representatives from Aon, CBIZ, Independence Blue Cross, Lincoln Financial Group, Illumifin, Penn Mutual, Transamerica, Venerable, and Willis Towers Watson visited campus to meet with Actuarial Science majors seeking employment opportunities. Last year, almost a third of students that were interviewed received employment offers.

“This is a unique opportunity for Actuarial Science and Math majors to interview with local actuarial employers at the beginning of the recruitment season and get first dibs at job positions and internships for the upcoming year,” said Irina Pogrebivsky, assistant professor of Computer Science and Mathematics. “The interview day is especially important in providing internship opportunities, which are critical to getting full-time positions upon graduation.”
