On Monday, Dec. 11, Arcadia University hosted the inaugural “Get Lit” celebration as a finals de-stresser for students and an opportunity for the whole community to come together one more time before the fall 2023 semester ended.
The event, moved from the rain-soaked Haber Green to the street and parking lot next to Spruance Arts Center, featured a ceremonial lighting of the AU Hedge, free food, hot drinks, raffles, Arcadia swag, a snow machine, crafts for sale, and more.
“I think the best part of the event was watching the community taking time to relax and have fun together,” said Christine Storch, director of Student Engagement. “Students, faculty, staff all work so hard by studying, rehearsing, practicing, working, and thinking! So, it was so nice to see the community taking time to just be with each other, enjoying our campus and celebrating our interconnectedness.
“We have a beautiful community and it made me proud to be an Arcadia Knight,” she added.
