Dr. Laura Conway, associate director of Genetic Counseling, was named to a one year term to the editorial board of the Genetics/Genomics Competency Center beginning Sept. 30. Members of the editorial board ensure that the materials in the collection are comprehensive, current, accurate. These efforts serve to support health care professionals in remaining informed about the rapidly expanding fields of genetics and genomics and their applications to patient care.

The Genetics/Genomics Competency Center is a project of the National Human Genome Research Institute and a division of the National Institutes of Health. The aim of the Center is to provide free resources and databases related to genetics.
