Dr. Siskind Appointed Associate Provost of Finance and Planning
Dr. Peter Siskind was appointed associate provost for Finance and Planning as of Nov. 1. Dr. Siskind, who had served in this role on an interim basis since June 1, coordinates strategic and financial planning for Academic Affairs and serves as a liaison with the Office of Financial and Administrative Services.
As an associate provost, Dr. Siskind works with all departments and units in Academic Affairs to integrate academic planning and resource allocation with Arcadia’s mission. He also fosters the collective knowledge of and engagement in Academic Affairs’ strategic goals.
A longtime faculty member in the Department of Historical and Political Studies, Dr. Siskind has served as a department chair (2012-18), associate dean for the College of Arts and Sciences (2018-19), interim dean of Undergraduate Studies (2011-12), and president of Arcadia’s first Faculty Senate (2014-16). In addition, he served as chair of the General Education Steering Committee that created Arcadia’s Undergraduate Curriculum in 2007, and as chair of the Faculty Governance Task Force that created the University’s new faculty governance system in 2014.
