Camille Norvaisas ’25MFA

Hometown: Feasterville, Pa.

Graduate program: MFA Creative Writing (Poetry)

Previous degree details: BS in Animal Science from Delaware Valley University.

Why did you choose Arcadia and/or your particular grad program? The low-residency program, quality of instructors, and study abroad aspects drew me to Arcadia.

What have you gained during your time here? I have a higher level of understanding and confidence about my writing and valued relationships with my cohort and professors. Plus Scotland was a blast!

What is your proudest accomplishment to date? Being published is pretty nice! Most recently my poems have appeared in “Nailpolish Stories,” “Anti-Heroin Chic,” “The Gorko Gazette,” and “Poem Alone.” My first book is “Rare as the Kotuku” (Aldrich Press).

What do you do when you’re not in class? I’m on the board of Volta: Center for Writing Arts. A group whose mission is to promote writing of all types via collaboration, open mic events, and workshops. Anything to do with nature, the outdoors, and animals. I also ride a Harley Davidson Sportster for fun.

Post-grad plans: Seeking publication for my manuscript of poems and branching out into other forms of writing/art. Photography and music are both passions of mine.
