What do you do when not in class?
I try to prioritize and enjoy reading and studying the Bible and being a part of a local church. I also love to play sports with my family and the people around me. My favorite sports are soccer (or football as I grew up knowing it as), basketball, tennis, and padel (which is a mix of tennis, racquetball, and squash). I also enjoy spending time with friends and family simply talking.
Why did you choose Arcadia?
I chose Arcadia for Physical Therapy because I knew they had an exceptional program through personal experience. My dad graduated from Arcadia’s Physical Therapy program in 1999 and spoke very highly of the program and the professors. I chose Physical Therapy because I want to be a part of walking alongside individuals and their families as they cope and adapt to disability and/or recover from injuries that have affected their lives. In my career, I hope to follow the example of my Savior Jesus Christ, who showed love and hope to people. I want others to see that they can find this hope even in the midst of suffering by helping them, to the best of my ability, experience the greatest degree of wholeness possible in their present lives through personalized physical rehabilitation. Growing up overseas in Africa, I have also seen the great need for rehabilitation services and hope to use my career overseas or in the U.S. to serve underprivileged communities.
What do you hope to accomplish at Arcadia?
I hope to become a well-rounded entry-level physical therapist who has taken opportunities to grow in and outside the classroom. I hope to learn as much as possible from the experienced faculty and the rigorous clinical rotations. Also, I look forward to making professional connections and personal friendships with my classmates.
