Knight to Know: Julianna Rodriguez ’25
Hometown: Morrisville, Pa.
Major: Digital Design and Computing Technology
Minor: Studio Art
Extracurriculars: I had the opportunity to work with 1853 Communications, Arcadia’s student-run PR agency, in the spring 2024 semester. During that time, our team won first place in the Students Save Lives Challenge, which was a rewarding experience. I was also involved in the Honors Program, where I served as the Community Outreach Coordinator in fall 2022.
What do you like to do in your free time? I enjoy spending time with loved ones, exploring new places, and creating lasting memories together. I also like taking long walks, which helps clear my mind and helps me stay active.
What is your proudest accomplishment to date? My proudest accomplishment to date is working with my thesis group and advisor for a real-life client dedicated to serving the senior community. Together, we have designed branding, illustrations, and prototypes, and built a website from scratch. This experience has been invaluable, allowing me to apply everything I have learned over the past four years.
Post-grad plans: My post-grad plans are to pursue a career in design and technology, focusing on areas like UI/UX and illustration, where I can continue doing what I love: problem-solving and creating. I am excited to apply my skills in a professional setting and contribute to projects that make a meaningful impact.
Rodriguez was awarded the Digital Design and Computing Technology Distinguished Achievement Award at this year’s Honors Convocation. “Graduating with an exceptional 3.99 GPA, she has demonstrated a remarkable passion for Art and Computing, consistently excelling in her coursework with diligence and innovation,” said a faculty member who nominated her. “Her leadership in the final-year capstone project showcased her ability to guide the development of creative and technical solutions while effectively communicating with peers, faculty, and the client.”
