Arcadia students presented research at the ninth annual interdisciplinary Regional Undergraduate Student Research Conference (RUSRC) on March 23. The event was hosted by Delaware State University, and focused on “Why Academic Diversity in Higher Education Enriches all the Disciplines.”

At the conference, Chemistry major Eddie Knab ’20 and Biochemistry major Amy Stringer ’20 collaborated with Dr. Emanuele Curotto, chair of Chemistry and Physics, on “Research to Improve Hydrogen Storage,” which tied for first place. Spanish major Isabella Bumbera ’19 won second place for her poster, “Signed vs. Spoken: Seeking Language Learning Success,” which she research in collaboration with Dr. Aroline Seibert Hanson, assistant professor of Modern Languages and Cultures.

Additionally, English majors Kysha Brown ’20 and Dylan Rossin ’21 presented “The Lack of Perceived Innocence in Black Children” and “The Politics of Langston Hughes’s Poem ‘Dream Variations,’” respectively.

Arcadia has been part of the consortium for five years.
