40 Under 40: Gianna Lozzi Wolf ’16

My greatest achievement is Raw Street Productions, the theater company I founded with my brother in 2016. The company got its start when we entered the play that I wrote for my senior thesis, “Right Behind,” into the Philadelphia Fringe Festival that year. I take pride in our continued success over the past three years, and I am endlessly grateful to my Raw Street family, who has been with us since day one. 

I will never forget the experience of hearing my first play being read aloud and the reactions of my classmates and professors. It is one of my most rewarding memories to date. 

In five years, I hope to be using my master’s degree to teach English within the Philadelphia School District and working towards my third degree in Education Administration. I hope that the education department of my theater company, Raw Street Productions, is thriving, widespread, and continuing to gain professional recognition. I hope the company will continue to strive toward making a difference in the Philadelphia community, using our grants, donations, and federal funding to make art accessible to everyone and that 2020’s growth plans will lead us to offer full-time positions to our staff. Last, on a more personal level, I hope I will continue to write and produce plays.
