Character and Confidence
Starting at Arcadia at the age of 16, I was but awkward and a little quiet. Arcadia, being the charming little island that it is, was a comfortable space for me to express myself, find my personality, and connect with people from backgrounds other than my own. Being comfortable in my skin has let me network with folks that have been pivotal in my career so far.
Learning to Lead
Linda Pizzi, my supervisor at Arcadia’s Learning Resource Network (LRN), had an incredible impact on my life. She trusted me to lead tutoring sessions and to be LRN’s head business tutor my senior year. I learned what leadership style I prefer and learned how to improve my leadership abilities. That prepared me to now lead a small team of six with confidence.
A Bright Future
Whatever I’ve achieved so far, I hope it pales in comparison to what I achieve in the future. Only 23 years old and three years out of college, I have my entire life and career ahead of me.
Being comfortable in my skin has let me network with folks that have been pivotal in my career so far.
