How Arcadia Influenced My Path
Arcadia gave me the opportunity to do it all, and I had amazing experiences both on and off stage. When I first arrived on campus, the University only produced four plays a year. My classmates and I would get together at night brainstorming ways we could make better use of our skills, and our professors saw the hard work and joined and supported our efforts. There are now Mainstage as well as smaller performances throughout the year. We created new clubs and started a film project that included students from every major. If I hadn’t been given support from the University to be a part of those experiences, I wouldn’t have the skills that got me to where I am now—a part of the Broadway and Off-Broadway community, making the arts important and accessible for all.
In Five Years…
I’ll be here in New York City, where I am needed to break boundaries and rules as we know them and bring theater and the arts into everyone’s lives, or back on stage to tell the story.
