Chris Kolb ’19, IT Student Worker Supervisor
How would you describe yourself?
I’m a computer science major, a Virgo. I like long walks on the beach…
On paper, I “work with tickets that come in to resolve customer issues quickly and efficiently.” But basically, I help people anywhere on campus when they have any kind of a technological issue—always with a smile!
You probably handle many frustrated customers with tech problems. How do you keep up your positive attitude?
I try to think of how relieved the customer will be when I figure out their issue. I love helping people, so while we may have to go through hell to get there, it’s well worth it.
What are your plans for after graduation?
I want to work in IT, and I’d love to stay here at Arcadia! I love the school, and the professors who actually care about it. It’s a community.
I would actually like to become a professor, one day. I don’t know what I’d want to teach—maybe history or philosophy. Something where I could have good discussions with the class. I have too much of an explosive personality to be stifled by subjects structured with a lot of rules, like math.
