VLOG: Spring Break in Italy
Here is a glimpse into what my spring break looked like as a FYSAE student, studying abroad in London.
First things first: My friends and I booked our flight to Genova, Italy from London through Ryanair Flights (if you are traveling out of London, or in Europe in general, this may be an airline you’ll use).
While in Italy, I traveled to Florence and Pisa through the company FlixBus. In Florence, my friends and I visited the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, which is showcased in the video. It is one of the greatest masterpieces of Gothic art and the first Italian Renaissance. This Florentine cathedral is also one of the largest churches in Christianity.
We chose Genova because it is located on the coast, specifically on the Ligurian Sea in the Gulf of Genoa, making it a coastal city in northwestern Italy. With this said, we had to make a pit stop at the beach. Regardless of the weather, we were determined to dip our toes into the water, and we did just that.
We obviously had to visit the Leaning Tower in Pisa. After taking the journey of walking up its 296 steps, we were met with the breathtaking view shown in the opening clip. I could not leave Italy without snagging some authentic Italian pizza, and ended the trip with authentic gelato. Italy has without a doubt treated me well, and I hope to visit again in the future.
Please enjoy!
