Storytellers Wanted: Apply to Be a Because Arcadia Blogger or Video Content Creator
What We’re Looking For
Fresh, creative content that contributes to a well-rounded view of Arcadia’s academic environment, community, and global opportunities. We try to represent as many majors, interests, and backgrounds as possible.
New to Arcadia? Even better! First-year students provide a crucial perspective for Because Arcadia‘s primary audience: prospective students.
Bloggers & Video Content Creators
You don’t have to be an English major to share your Arcadia experiences. Bloggers contribute four written posts (with photography), videos, or multimedia projects per semester and work with an editorial team to strengthen their content. Bloggers are also responsible for pitching post topics.
What’s in It for You?
This is a paid, work-from-home position. Work-study eligibility is not required. In addition to being flexible and creative, blogging and content creation is a great résumé booster: Students gain practical skills and professional experience while working with Because Arcadia editors.
How to Apply
The application period is at the start of each semester. Keep an eye on your email, the Arcadia Today newsletter, and Handshake in August and January for the announcement. At that time, you will be asked to submit the following:
- Your major, class year, hometown.
- A short cover letter (explaining why you want to join our team).
- Sample(s) of your work: You can submit writing (the more creative, the better); a vlog, or a podcast. Original photography samples are also encouraged.
