Explore the Arts!
Students are exposed to various mediums and provided opportunities to discuss intellectual, aesthetic, and emotional responses to visual works. Hall activities will utilize opportunities provided through Arts at Arcadia including exhibition openings, theater performances, and other professional and student presentations. Recommended for: Any student interested in learning more about the arts and exploring their own creativity. This community will be housed on a coed floor.
Make That Change: “History Has Its Eyes On You”
College students and young people have always been at the forefront of transformative change in society. Build community while exploring and learning the history of social change through education and civic engagement in local and global communities. Participate in fun, interactive and meaningful activities to support, embrace, and enhance the advancement of each other. Students interested in this themed housing will be encouraged to enroll in the following First Year Seminars: African Americans Representation in the Media (Black Affinity Living), Social Action and Justice and Justice Educators (SAJE), Advocacy in Action (Civic Scholars). This community will be housed on a coed floor.
From Self-Care to Community
Residents on this floor will prioritize their own self care and define for themselves a positive college experience. Students will explore healthy habits to help achieve their collegiate goals. Individual passions will be shared, supported, and cultivated among one another. Recommended for: Students accepted into the Honors Program, student athletes, undeclared students, and business majors. This community will be housed on a coed floor.
Celebrate! LGBTQ+
Explore and celebrate all aspects of contemporary LGBTQ+ culture and discuss community leaders, authors, artists, and more. Residents of this community will guide topics and programs on the floor and attend complimentary campus events. Recommended for: Students interested in exploring LGBTQ+ culture and leadership. This community will be housed on a gender-neutral floor.
