Michael L. Huber, MMS, PA-C, DFAAPA, received his Bachelor of Science degrees from Cornell University and Hahnemann University before receiving his Master of Medical Science degree from Saint Francis University to become a Physician Assistant. He brings to Arcadia University over 30 years of experience in medical education and program administration. Previously he was afforded the opportunity to develop two other local PA programs. His dedication to physician assistant education has led him to receive both institutional and national awards for outstanding teaching and service to the profession. His distinguished achievements in leadership, research, service, and international contributions to teaching and exchange, have granted him membership into the Pi Alpha National Honor Society and the Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants. He was a member of a team involved in the promotion and development of the physician assistant model in South Africa. He has been recognized as a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physicians for his outstanding service to the physician assistant profession, his commitment to advancing global health care, and his exemplary personal and professional development.
He has received national recognition on three occasions by receiving both the President’s Award and the Physician Assistant Student Mentor Award from the Student Academy of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. These prestigious awards recognize a Physician Assistant who has demonstrated exemplary service to the profession and has furthered the leadership, education, and professional development of physician assistant students. He also was a receiving member of the Partnership Award from the Physician Assistant Education Association for his numerous years of charity collaboration work with several local PA programs. This national award recognizes an individual or institution that provides support to one or more PA programs and that has made a noteworthy contribution to PA education.
His experience includes a diverse clinical background in internal medicine, infectious disease and HIV/AIDS management, counseling, and research. He is the Founder and President of the Arcadia Global Brigades and MedLife Chapters. He remains involved with organizations such as MedEvent, Action AIDS, the Mazzoni Center, and many other community outreach programs. He continues his passion for working with under serviced populations through his leadership in organizing ongoing interdisciplinary medical and surgical service trips to Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, Nicaragua, and Peru.

- 1995-2001 Medical Research Reviewer - Fact Flow Research - compiled and reviewed patient charts for ongoing HIV/AIDS study, studying the effectiveness of current HIV/AIDS medications and combination strategies
- 1999 Research Coordinator - Mayfair Chiropractic Center - a study comparing the absorbent costs of pharmacologic management to successful non-pharmacologic alternative therapy, for the treatment of diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, and major depression; to justify alternative therapy costs reimbursement from managed healthcare providers
- 1996-1997 Co-Investigator - Chiron Technology Center for Gene Therapy, Immune Response Corporation - conducted several Phase II and Phase III clinical trials on multiple HIV therapies and CD4 T-lymphocyte responses to HIV-1
