Arcadia University receives Community Service Award.
On Nov. 20, the Cheltenham Township Board of Commissioners presented Arcadia staff with the Community Service Award for helping to organize special events in the Downtown Glenside Business District.
“With deep appreciation for your unmatched dedication, loyalty, commitment, and contributions to the Glenside Community,” the award stated. It continued to laud Arcadia’s Facilities Management Team and the Office of University Relations “for going above and beyond what is expected of an active member of the community.”
Recognized were Vice President of Marketing and Communications Laura Baldwin, Associate Vice President of Facility and Capital Planning Tom Macchi, Senior Director of University Relations Lisa Stephens, Director of Facilities Operations Michelle Jaisir-Peters, Facilities Manager Ed Adams, Facilities and Media Support Assistant Eric Macchi, Facilities and Media Support Assistant Julian Moore-Griffin, and Administrative Assistant Jessiye Almonte Gonzalez.
This is the third consecutive year that the township has lauded Arcadia’s Facilities Management and University Relations’ teams for their work in the Cheltenham community. In prior years, the team received an honorary citation for landscape restoration and maintenance as well as recognition for the Mural Arts program at the Glenside Train Station.
